2016 RANKINGS: JUNIORS, VANCOUVER BOYS BASKETBALL

1. St. George's

2. Kitsilano

3. Sir Charles Tupper

4. Magee

5. Churchill

This is one of the deepest groups in the Province and all 5 teams should qualify for the 32 team Provincial Championships. This St. George's group has lost four times in two years heading into the season, the problem is two of those games were in the Provincial Semi-finals. This group is highly motivated with the likes of Jeric Palma, Bill Lin, Thomas Chen, and Justin Litherland who all play high-level club ball year round. They will rely on their speed and skill, as their roster has no true big. Kitsilano comes in as second in the City for Juniors because of the emergence of Luka Dolman, Payton Lum, and Everest Jaggs. They have size and skill which will most likely lead them to the City Championship and a top-ranked Provincial birth. Sir Charles Tupper boast one of the quickest rosters in the Province and will continue to rely on that this upcoming season. They have been top finishers in the City the past 2 years, but with a lack of size, they will be hard-pressed to compete with the Kitsilano. Magee is looking to make a repeat appearance at the Junior Provincial Championships behind the size and skill of their Big man, Ethan Fung. Look for them to rely on him heavily but fall short in the City playoffs to the deeper and more skilled previously mentioned teams. Churchill rounds off the top 5 and will be lead by Peter Li who represents Dynamite Basketball and Team BC in the offseason, they will be looking to make it to Provincials and go from there.
