Coming into the AA/AAA Vancouver City Championships, Britannia Bruins and Gladstone had a “Play in” game last week. Britannia was able to take down the Point Grey Greyhounds 92-55; And Gladstone taking the win over John Oliver 80-65.
On Tuesday the tournament host Windermere Warriors took on the Gladstone Gladiators in front of the home crowd. Up until mid 2nd quarter the game was close with back and forth baskets at both ends. As the Warriors were pulling away with a 12pt lead mid 4th quarter, the Gladiators had a 8pt run bring them to a 4pt game. With the clock winding down it wasn’t enough as the Warriors took a win against the Gladstone Gladiators. Final score 81-71.
In the following game, the Britannia Bruins took on the Sir Charles Tupper Tigers. In the last quarter Bruin’s #25 Jalen Williams just goes off puts up 13pts in the 4th quarter pushing the team to their victory. The Bruins were able to edge the Tigers 88-83.
On Wednesday, Windermere will take on King George at 2:15PM and Lord Byng Will take on Britannia at 4:00PM.
