FRIDAY

Langara Falcons 94 Douglas Royals 84

Despite being down 25 points the Royals battled back, but the comeback came up short as the Falcons offence shot 46% from the field and saw 37 points off their bench.

Six players scored in double-digits led by Harry Brar who came off the bench for 19 points and 11 rebounds. Both Ravi Basra and Harry Liu each tallied 15 and Grant Galbraith and Antonio Jhuty scored 13 points.

The Royals offence was also good shooting 43% from the field led by 18 points from Josiah Mastandrea who hit four-three pointers. Paul Getz finished with a double-double of 12 points and 10 boards.

Capilano Blues 115 Quest Kermodes 63

The Blues led from start to finish and piled on 37 points in the fourth quarter alone. They shot 50% from the field and 42% from downtown led by 32 points from Denver Sparks-Guest. He was 10 of 18 from the field and 5 of 10 from behind the arch. CJ Campbell added 16 points and Nathan Bromige dropped in 15.

Incredibly they scored 36 points off the 21 turnovers they created.

The Kermodes shot 36% from the floor but didn’t really have an answer for Sparks-Guest. Rhys Blake led them offensively with 11 points.

VIU Mariners 95 CBC Bearcats 73

Mariners’ head coach Matt Kuzminski earned his 100th career PACWEST regular season win as his club shot 48% from the field. Usama Zaid set the pace with 19 points and Harry Fayle dropped in 14.

Despite turning the ball over 20 times on Friday the Bearcats hung tough and shot 43% from the field. Jack Nadelhoffer scored a game high 23 points in 36+ minutes of work. Tim Dick added 14 more.

SATURDAY

Douglas Royals 99 Langara Falcons 94

It was an even kind of night for the Royals. Their best quarters were clearing the second and fourth as they outshot the home side 66-49 in those two frames. As a team they shot 44% led by the game high 26 points from Kameron Johnson off the bench while veteran Grant Campbell scored 22.

The Falcons also shot 44% from the field. Martin Bogajev nailed four-three points and tallied 21 points and Ravi Basra dropped in 20.

VIU Mariners 115 CBC Bearcats 56

They led from start to finish outscoring the Bearcats 29-10 in the first quarter alone. The Mariners shot 55% from the field led by the 35 points from Bryson Cox, his largest outpouring this season. Usama Zaid was right behind him with 20 points and Tyus Barfoot slammed in 16.

The Bearcats were led by Jack Nadelhoffer who continued his hot shooting, scoring 15 points with Ty Cleland who dropped 11.
