Tokyo 2020 Olympics Officially Postponed

It has been officially announced that the 2020 Tokyo Olympics have been postponed due to the evolving global health pandemic, COVID-19 (Coronavirus).

Vancouver, B.C. - It has been officially announced that the 2020 Tokyo Olympics have been postponed due to the evolving global health pandemic, COVID-19 (Coronavirus). The Senior Women's National Team had qualified earlier this year, while the Senior Men's Team is set to player their qualifier in Victoria in June and the Men's 3x3 Team Olympic Qualifier was postponed.

There has been no update on the status of the Senior Men's Olympic Qualifier yet, though tournament organizers the event was scheduled to go on as planned prior to the announcement of the the 2020 Olympic Games. We'll be sure to provide updates when Tournament Organizers share more details.

The International Olympic Committee stated, 'In the present circumstances and based on the information provided by the WHO today, the IOC President and the Prime Minister of Japan have concluded that the Games of the XXXII Olympiad in Tokyo must be rescheduled to a date beyond 2020 but not later than summer 2021, to safeguard the health of the athletes, everybody involved in the Olympic Games and the international community.'
