Vancouver All-Stars collide in highly entertaining game.

Vancouver East comes out on top 127-126 against Vancouver West.
April 8, 2018

Sir Charles Tupper - Friday night, the Vancouver Secondary Schools Athletic Association hosted their All-Star games in the “Tigers Den” of Sir Charles Tupper. Athletes from across Vancouver were selected to play with their regular season opponents for an evening that would officially cap off the basketball season.

For Vancouver East, Marlon Edgar-Apps stole the show in the first quarter knocking down five “3’s” on the way to a 39-32 lead after 10 minutes. For Vancouver West, eight players made contributions to the scoreboard while having to make the most of their five minute shifts. At the half, Vancouver East still held the lead at 67-61 while the second quarter had big dunks from Dima Gadashev and Tyrone Asenoguan. In the third quarter, the East squad increased their lead to 95-87 while Vancouver West stayed consistent as every player on the roster scored in the quarter. Vancouver East would grow their lead to 14 points early in the fourth before a late run led by an 18 point quarter from Tyrone Asenoguan, including a pair of dunks, would bring the eventual final score to 127-126 for Vancouver East
