2016 – 125th Anniversary of Basketball

2016 marks the 125th anniversary of the game of basketball. Canadian Dr. James Naismith invented the game out of what he described as “boredom”. Vancouver Basketball celebrates the anniversary with this rare recording from Dr.Naismith that was discovered by Michael Zogry, who is an associate professor in the Department of Religious Studies at the University of Kansas.
