2017 Recap for the AAAA / AAA / AA Vancouver City Championships Final

On Friday night, Windermere hosted the AAAA and AAA/AA Vancouver City Championship finals.

First up was the 4A Final between Kitsilano Blue Demons and Killarney Cougars. With the strong performances by Luka Lizdek 32pts 10ast 7reb 7stls, George Dokmanovic 24pts 5ast 8reb 2stl and Tyrone Asenoguan with 20pts 4reb 2stl, Kitsilano defeated the Cougars 103-88. Luka Lizdek with the AAAA Vancouver Cities MVP.

In the 3A Finals, the King George Dragons faced the Lord Byng Grey Ghosts. The Dragons defeated the Grey Ghosts in last year’s City Championship Final on a Buzzer beater in Overtime by Kyle Guerrero. This year it was a rematch and the Grey Ghosts were hungry. This year the Dragons went back-to-back AAA/AA Vancouver City Champions. Yoel Teclehaimanot put up 24pts 16reb and 10ast along with Kyle Guerrero with 24pts and Mohab Mundadi with 18pts. Final score 79-57 for the Dragons. Yoel Teclehaimanot with the AAA Vancouver Cities MVP.
