Vancouver, B.C. - Last night, in the Tri-City Opener hosted by Gleneagle, Terry Fox and Charles Best, the Britannia Bruins would play Fraser Heights in a Day 1 match-up. Surprise Munie would lead the #9 'AA' Britannia Bruins to a win big win. Munie scored a game high 15 points, grabbed 15 rebounds and dished out 3 assists with 3 steals in 16 minutes of play in the Bruins win over the Firehawks. The Bruins jumped out early controlling the tempo of the game with their fast paced offense. At the end of the first half it was Britannia who held a 46-7 lead. At the start of the second half, the Bruins extended their lead with three players recording double-doubles - Surprise Munie with 15 points and 15 rebounds and Tamia Edgar who added 12 points and 11 rebounds. At the final buzzer the Bruins prevailed 63-20.
