Dickerson shines in Huskies comeback win on Day 2 of the TCL Vancouver Basketball Showcase

Vancouver, B.C. - It was a spectacular showing in the face off between the Washington Huskies and the Aggies of Texas A&M. From the tip-off, the intensity of the game never wavered from both participants.

Jay Jay Chandler known for his active defensive presence, stepped up big tonight on the offensive side in tonight’s game against the Washington Huskies. Chandler along with sophomore TJ Starks and forward Josh Nebo, all combined for 30 points to give A&M a 38-30 lead at the half, turning over the ball just six times. Noah Dickerson led the Huskies with 9 points and 10 rebounds.

Noah Dickerson had a outstanding game for the Huskies scoring 24 points and grabbing 18 rebounds to help the Huskies weather the storm of the Aggies to secure the win.

Washington outscored the Aggies midway through the 2nd half to take a 63-60 advantage in the remaining 5 minutes of play. With the shot clock running down at the end of a possession Savion Flagg hit a running floater just before the shot clock violation to bring the Aggies within one 62-63 with four minutes left. Down the final stretch Jaylen Nowell chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds but in the closing seconds Jay Jay Chandler nail the front end of a one and one with 3.3 seconds left but intentionally missed the second free-throw and received a lane violation. The Huskies closed out the game 67-71.

Washington will face with undefeated Minnesota Nov. 21 at 3:30pm at the Vancouver Convention Centre
