Vancouver, B.C. - 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. X. This January, the Vancouver Basketball Metro League will celebrate its 10 Year Anniversary as the leading Men’s League in the Lower Mainland
Established in the Fall of 2008, by Mark Starkey and a group of close friends, the league began playing games at Vancouver College with elite athletes meeting once a week to compete. As Metro League’s popularity grew, the League expanded to offer multiple divisions and would make the move to the world-class Richmond Olympic Oval, its current home where it takes over three courts at a time.
With the widest range of offerings for athletes in Vancouver, athletes can expect competitive games with a number of current and ex-varsity level players to recreational play for late-comers to the sport. In addition to the incredible facility, athletes can expect premium digital content from professional photographers and videographers (sponsored by @Victory), Nike Reversible Jerseys, full game statistics, and a number of other exclusive Metro League perks.
This January, Metro League will be running Division I and Division II competition with a limit of 24 teams. Games will be on Monday nights with start times from 7:00pm-10:00pm at the Richmond Olympic Oval.
