Think of Kyrie Low as a democratized version of Kyrie Irving's signature series. It has many of the same features: Zoom cushioning, distinctive modeling on the upper and a curved sole unit built for quick cuts. However, it puts increased emphasis on comfort.
"Kyrie wanted his Low to have everything his signature game shoes have had, but retooled with an all-day play component," explains designer Benjamin Nethongkome.
Most apparent is the shift in cushioning. Whereas the Kyrie 4 has a top-loaded Zoom unit (it sits below the foot for immediate engagement), the Zoom on the Low is bottom loaded, which allows for a softer underfoot experience. There are heel and forefoot units too, maximizing ride against a variety of court surfaces. A new concentric traction system, derived from the Kobe 10, finishes off the tooling.
