Canadian NBA pro and forward for the Boston Celtics, Kelly Olynyk, 26, wants to pave a path for future Canadian players who are serious about the sport of basketball. A BC native himself, Olynyk grew up and played high school ball in South Kamloops.
On Saturday, July 29th, Olynyk arrived at the Olympic Oval in Richmond, joined by NBA shooting guard, Danny Green, of the San Antonio Spurs. For the next two days they worked with over 80 boys and girls age 8-17, running through drills to improve ball handling, shooting, passing, and defence.
As part of the camp, players were given shirts, autographs, and had the chance to pose in front of a photo booth to get a picture with Olynyk and Green.
