What an eventful year in the sneaker world! From the new direction on low tops with the KD VI to the first retro releases of the Kobe line up, 2013 got us some favourites we would like to share. All selected footwear were based on performance and favourite colorway.
This Nike LeBron X Elite might be the most energetic take on the Heat colorway we’ve ever seen. You’ll recall that last year’s elite edition strayed pretty far from the conventional in its Heat look, wearing a taxi-yellow colorway. This time around total crimson dominates the upper, a shade that comes in reasonably close to the Heat’s signature shade of red.
The shoe is not just a shoe as it holds a some backstory in the life of Kevin Durant and his DMV background. A detailed map print is seen on the upper of the shoe with reflective stripes across the top of the shoe. Gamma Blue, Dusty Grey, and Flash Lime make up the colors on the Nike KD 6 and complete the full look of the shoe.
Bearing a predominantly yellow upper and multi colored graphic print strap these make quite the statement by color blocking alone. Teal comes in on the outsole and adds a bit more noise to a look that was already vibrant to begin with making this a pretty brilliant pair.
The Nike Kobe 8 received its first ever tech upgrade as Nike+ technology finally makes its way to the eight Kobe sneaker. Available in both the Nike+ and Sport Pack varieties, the Nike Kobe 8 ‘All-Star’ will indeed experience a considerable price increase due to the tech integration.
The Nike LeBron 11 “Gamma Blue” represents unbreakable strength and is inspired by tempered steel, or the process of hardening steel. The LeBron 11 “Gamma Blue” colorway embodies superiority, optimal strength and strong impact resistance. The colorway’s Swoosh represents the tempered steel spectrum, from yellow to a very distinctive blue.
Come back here every week as we will start to showcase a different shoe.
