#1 – Steve Nash Calls it a Career
The greatest basketball player to come out of Canada called it a career last March after injuries limited Nash to just 65 games over his last three seasons in the NBA. Nash’s 19-year career in the NBA included two MVP awards and eight All-Star nominations. The product of Victoria, BC finished his career with 10,335 assists which is third all-time in NBA history. Nash also is the best free-throw shooter in league history at 90.4 per cent. The BC Sports Hall of Fame waived the three-year post retirement waiting period to induct Nash into the hall last month. He will be honoured with a cast of others in 2016.
